Our first pairing moves the needle to a silver screen collection of scratchy vintage beats: a 1999 classic cult flick, carefully paired with the swoons of John Cusack and the zesty vines of Latour. Crisp on the ear and romantic on the finish, Vinyl & Vino will entertain the senses ‘til the very last song. Experience this sophisticated funk-fare in one of Jozi’s oldest independent cinemas, tangled with a live DJ and three premium cellar wines - a first, for South Africa.

What you’ll experience: Our second notable stop along Songs By The Glass is an intimate evening of artistic appreciation: an indulgent pairing, in the company of Tulbagh’s award-winning MCC Montpellier winemakers. Coats & Notes finds you sipping in a Sandton Farmhouse, in upper-crust suburbia; shaped by the notes of Reds, Whites and MCC classics, and elegantly paired with the sophisticated sounds of a live saxophonist. This first tasting in the series is a socially-satiating feast of grapes, and a fortunate affair for the classical fans.

In what promises to be an up-close and personal long table event, Hide ‘n Speak crowns our Songs by the Glass series with a wine-and-find treasure hunt. You’ll get the chance to seek out some of the world’s finest wines from exclusive barrels, paired with the acapella rhythms of spoken poetry.
